Gangs are the result of basic problems such as poverty, the disintegration of the family, unemployment, school dropouts, hopelessness, boredom, racism, drugs, etc. For many young people, gangs satisy basic human needs and the importance of being a part of a group, a feeling of identification and affirmation of which they lack in other parts of their lives. One survey of the University of Chicago demonstrated that at this moment, gangs of young people exist in nearly all of the fifty states of the nation, including Alaska and Hawaii.

Between the rise of gangs and more incedents of violence they cause, the urgency of finding a solution to this problem is of great concern. Without a doubt, the lack of inversion among the young people of today assures that the prisons of tommorow will be filled.

Es la verdad que hay muchas pandillas a traves de nuestra nacion, y los problemas que eran mencionado antes forman mucho de los razones por pandillas, pero hay otras causas que necesita documentar.
Por ejemplo, el liderazgo en nuestra nacion, y a tras del mundo, mostran que los valores y ideas como justicia y derrecho no son importantes en relacion de conseguiendo cualquira cosa que les quiren. Tambien, aunque muchos en poder han roto leyes por dinero o poder, nadie consideran estas personas responsible por sus crimenes. Que tipo de ejemplo por la juventud es eso?
Finalmente, pienso que el problema empieza en la casa, a donde los ejemplos initiales de conducta son copiados.
